We design and sell our own men's boots and shoes from North Hollywood, California — and we ship them to customers across the United States ourselves.
TheFootWear began with a straightforward frustration: it is genuinely hard to buy a men's leather shoe today and know what you are getting. The same last, the same factory and the same hide turn up under four different names at four different prices, and the page never tells you which one you are looking at.
So we stopped reselling and put our own name on the box. Every pair on this site is our label. When a customer emails to ask what the sole is made of or how the leather will age, someone here can answer it — because we chose the specification, not a supplier catalogue.
Our story
Why we stopped reselling.
TheFootWear began with a plain frustration. It is genuinely hard to buy a leather boot online and know what you are getting. The same last, the same factory and the same hide turn up under four different names at four different prices, and not one of those pages tells you which one you are looking at.
So we stopped reselling other people's stock and put our own name on the box. Everything on this site is our label. When someone emails to ask what the sole is made of or how a suede shaft will behave in wet weather, a person here can answer it, because we chose the specification rather than copying a supplier catalogue.
We would rather stock four pairs we can describe accurately than four hundred we cannot.
That is why the range is short. A hiking boot, a safety boot, a suede knee high and a leather loafer. When a size sells through we bring it back instead of replacing the style with whatever is trending, which keeps our answers accurate and our returns rate low.
Orders are packed and dispatched from Plattsburgh, usually within one to two business days. If a pair is not right when it lands, you have twenty one days to send it back unworn, with no argument and no restocking fee.

Free shipping over $150
Standard delivery is free on US orders above $150. Below that, one flat rate appears at checkout before you pay, never as a surprise at the last step.
Twenty one days to change your mind
Try them on indoors. If the fit is wrong, send the pair back unworn in its original box within twenty one days of delivery for a full refund of the item price.
One year of craftsmanship cover
Stitching that lets go or a sole that separates under normal wear is our problem for a full year from delivery. Ordinary scuffing and wear is not covered.
Answers from the people who pack it
Email or call during Eastern business hours and you reach the small team that ships the boxes. Sizing questions get a straight answer, including "buy elsewhere".
